Shourya Marathon Nagpur 2025 – Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to participants aged 10 to 72 years.
  • Participants will be categorized by age groups for better competition fairness:
    • 10–14 years (Junior Category – 1KM / 3 KM / 6 KM only)
    • 15–18 years (Youth Category – 3 KM / 6 KM)
    • 19–35 years (Open Category – All distances)
    • 36–50 years (Veteran Category –3KM / 6 KM )
    • 51–72 years (Senior Veteran Category – 1 KM Run / 3 KM Walk )
  • All participants must be physically fit and medically sound to take part in the race.
  • Anyone with a known medical condition should seek doctor’s approval before participating.

2. Registration Rules

  • Registration is compulsory for all participants.
  • Participants must register on or before 24th August 2025 or until slots are filled.
  • Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • Valid government-issued ID proof and age proof are required at the time of kit collection.
  • Participants under 18 years of age must submit a consent form signed by a parent or guardian.

3. Marathon Kit Collection

  • Kits include: Bib number, T-shirt, route map, and safety instructions.
  • Kit distribution dates: 20th to 23rd August 2025 (venue will be announced).
  • No kits will be distributed on the day of the marathon.
  • All participants must reach the marathon starting point (Sanvidhaan Chowk, Nagpur) by their own conveyance.
  • The organizing committee will not be responsible for providing transport facilities.

4. Health & Safety Guidelines

  • Medical support, ambulances, and water stations will be available at regular intervals.
  • Participants are responsible for their own health and fitness.
  • In case of emergencies, first aid will be administered and participants may be taken off the route.
  • Event organizers are not responsible for any injury, illness, or death caused during the event.
  • Senior citizens (60+) are advised to consult a doctor and participate only in 1 KM or 3 KM categories.
  • The Shourya Marathon Committee shall not be held liable for any loss, injury, accident, or mishap occurring:
  • a) While travelling from your home/place to the marathon starting point or back.
  • b) During the marathon route or at the event venue.
  • Participation is entirely at the participant’s own risk and responsibility.

5. Rules of Conduct

  • Participants must follow the instructions of volunteers and marshals at all times.
  • Unsportsmanlike behavior, including pushing, blocking, or abusing others, is strictly prohibited.
  • Use of performance-enhancing drugs, alcohol, or intoxicants is banned.
  • Littering on the route will result in disqualification — this is a green marathon.

6. For Minors (Under 18 years)

  • Minors must obtain written permission from their parents/guardians before participating.
  • If possible, parents/guardians are requested to accompany their ward to the event.

7. Cancellation / Postponement

  • In case of bad weather, natural disaster, health outbreak, or government order, the event may be cancelled or postponed.
  • No refunds will be provided in such circumstances.
  • Rescheduled dates will be communicated via email/SMS/official website.

8. Photography & Media Consent

  • The event will be photographed and video recorded.
  • By participating, you grant permission to use your photos, videos, and names for promotional and media purposes without compensation.

9. Prizes & Certificates

  • Finisher medals and Certificates for all finishers.
  • Winners in each age category will receive trophies and sponsor gifts.
  • Decision of the organizing committee will be final in case of disputes.

10. Disqualification Criteria

  • Running with someone else’s bib or without registration.
  • Taking shortcuts or using transport.
  • Failing to complete the entire course.
  • Violating safety instructions or misbehaving with officials/participants.

11. Advisory

  • Participants are advised to carry a valid ID proof.
  • Follow the instructions of volunteers, police, and medical teams during the event.
  • The decision of the organizing committee regarding any dispute shall be final and binding.

By registering for the Shourya Marathon Nagpur 2025, I acknowledge that I have read and agree to abide by the above Terms and Conditions, and I participate at my own risk.
